Breaking A Bad Habit

Posted by Non-Hamster on June 5th, 2010

One of the things that has been making my efforts to lose weight difficult is the fact that, without warning, my appetite will surge out of control.  It has been the driving force behind more than one pizza that was ordered on a moment's notice and more than a few late night trips to McNasty's place.

So the most obvious possible question that anyone can think of is: How do you suppress appetite?  How do you bring that monster under control so that you can avoid loading up on calories that you don't even almost need?

You see, a person can do all of the exercise in the world, burn hundreds, even thousands of calories every day with it.  But if the appetite is out of control and you're still, because of that appetite, taking in more calories than you burn you are not only not going to lose weight, you're going to gain.

Perhaps I should start putting pictures of disgusting things in, on and around the refrigerator and kitchen cabinets.  I mean, who want's a plate of midnight spaghetti when you have to look at intestines to get it?
