The "Junk" Drawer

Posted by Non-Hamster on September 27th, 2010

We all have one.  It's a place where we put all those things that most people would consider junk and just throw out.  We save them because we just know that someday some of that stuff will be useful in some project and when that happens we figure it'd just make sense to get whatever it is out of the "junk" drawer instead of having to go out and buy a new one.

In mine there's a lot of computer parts and general electronic stuff.  I've got a couple of vga cables, an SVGA graphics card or two, an assortment of memory chips from 4MB 72pin SIMM chips to 128MB DIMM.  There is no less than three PC motherboards (only one of which actually works) a wide variety of IDE cables, power cables, a couple of 3.5 inch floppy drives, a 5.25 inch floppy drive and several glass jars of assorted nuts, bolts, screws and misc fasteners.

There's actually a lot more, this is just all that I could think of without actually going to look.
