In spite of the fact that most of the homes in here in Nutjob Hills were built by the same contractor over the last hundred years or so the architecture is considerably more varied than other, similarly sized cities around the country.

The reason for this has to do with the owner of the company that designs and builds most homes around here.  Specifically, whenever he goes someplace else, he spots some design he likes and comes back here and copies it.  Most recently he's built a whole subdivision in which each house looks amazingly like photos he took of Outer Banks vacation rentals, one that he stayed in and several others that he toured while there.

Last year he vacationed in New England and there are several new houses that look like they were built in New England 200 years ago.

Personally I can't wait to see what he builds when he gets back from his next vacation . . . a three week tour of South Pacific Polynesian Islands.
