Having lived out in the sticks for as long as I have I've kinda gotten used to the way things are done around here and it no longer makes me go "huh?" when somebody decides that a case of shotgun shells is one of the best gifts for dad on Father's Day or that Mom would be thrilled to get cast iron cookware or a new stove to use it on or maybe just a carton of cigarettes tied up in a bow.
I remember back when I first moved here though when I couldn't get when people around here didn't just get cards, candy, flowers & cheesy ties like everybody else. And now I think nothing of it.
Funny how life changes isn't it?
