       Because if fewer people used Google exclusively, then Google’s pagerank wouldn’t be nearly so important. I think that cutting that back a notch or three would benefit everyone because PR changes wouldn’t affect sites as much as it does now.

       Not anymore. I’ve switched to ask.com as my preferred search tool these days. They’ve got a level of intuitive interface that has the big ‘G’ beat all hollow.
