Here’s one you’ll surely remember (I know, I know, “don’t call me Shirley”). This guy was traveling to the US and was stopped in the airport because a security scanner detected something that “had a similar molecular density to certain types of explosives.”

What’s almost funny about this is that when they searched his luggage, it turned out to be some bacon that his wife had given him for lunch on the trip.

If you think about it, there’s a problem here. I am not a hamster but if bacon can be detected as a bomb, what’s to prevent some determined idiot from packing a bomb in a load of bacon?
