There seems to be a wave of things being broken online these days. Recently Microsoft's revised CAPTCHA system was broken and now slashdot is reporting that Google's CAPTCHA has been broken. According to the latest slashdot item I read, the spammer group behind something called "Xrumer" has claimed that they've cracked Google's and several other CAPTCHA systems. Looks to me like some security software people could be looking for fast foodr jobs in Atlanta if they don't beat the spam sovlers.
That certainly seems like quite a trick. I mean, I am not a hamster but I've always found most CAPTCHAS to be a royal pain that I can barely manage to solve... and these folks being able to do it is really impressive to me.
