The Non-Listeners

Posted by Non-Hamster on August 9th, 2012

Have you noticed just how bad most people are about not listening?  The problem is seriously getting out of hand in a big way.

I'm talking mostly about the younger folk today.  Seems they're so all fired impatient that they can't hardly be bothered to take 15 seconds to actually listen to what you're trying to say to them.

For example Ned was in the Nutjob Hills Diner the other day talking with his buddy about how he needed to get a new CB mounting rack for his truck so that he could set up the new radio he got the day before.  A local kid heard and showed by his reaction that he was only half listening to less than half of what Ned was saying. (not that it was any of his business to begin with)

He commented to his friends that he thought it was weird that somebody would put a cd rack in a pickup truck.  Especially a beat up work truck like Ned's.  It's bad enough that the kid couldn't be bothered to mind his own business but then to make it worse he can't even completely listen to what he was eavesdropping on.

Then again, with the short attention span that most kids have these days he probably didn't remember the incident the next day.
