AP Writes Story about Killing A Story

Posted by Non-Hamster on November 13th, 2007

Normally when I am referring to a news story I'll either quote a piece of it with a link or just link to the story.  Very seldom am I willing to quote the entire thing because a line or two is enough for readers to decide if they want to look at the whole thing.  However in this case, one line is all that there is.

AP Kills Paris Hilton Story

Nov 13, 5:08 PM (ET)

GAUHATI, India - Kill BC-People-Paris Hilton. Lori Berk, a publicist for Hilton, says she never made any comments about helping drunken elephants in India.

As for my point... Well, I am not a hamster, or perhaps I'm missing something completely here.  I don't see much of a story here, nor is there (that I can tell) much of one to kill.  I don't know which is goofier, this headline, or the fact that somebody picked it up from the AP wire and published it in an absolute waste of electrons.

(I know, I know...then *I* waste a few more in talking about it)
