Solving The Loud Music Problem

Posted by Non-Hamster on October 12th, 2012

As you know I've totaly had it with mr yoga doing his thing at four am with violent rock music playing at max volume.  I don't give a flying fart if he yoga's himself silly, I just wish he'd learn to do so in a manner that doens't keep me up when I need to be sleeping.

I think thought that I've come up with a solution.  You see, yoga guy insists on the music being so loud so that he can "immerse himself" in it.  He claims that the music must be at proper full rock concert levels and must be mixed properly, have all the various instrument channels balanced just right and finally be delivered through the best quality speakers available . . . at full volume.

Resisting the temptation to list a number of things I'd like to immerse him in I thought about this for a while.

I finally decided that the solution was to come up with what amounts to a set of genuinely Monster headphones for him.  Basically the design would be very much what he's wanting only the whole thing would be enclosed in soundproof walls large enough to give him the physical space he needs.  It would not need a floor because he insists on sitting in the grass for a "natural feel" to his experience.  For that same reason the top can be made of a sound absorbing transparent plastic so that the grass won't die on him in a few days.

Now all I need to do is convince the rest of the neighborhood to chip in to have this sucker made and installed on yoga guy's front lawn.  Then we can all start sleeping again.
