Yeah, right... Castro is going to make nice nice and not stay in power forever... then makes it a point to talk about somebody who's still working at the age of 100 years old.
Ailing leader Fidel Castro said in a letter that he does not intend to cling to
power forever or stand in the way of a younger generation, but invoked the example
of a renowned Brazilian architect who is still working at 100.
Obviously that's intended to give people an idea of what he means by not clinging to power forever. I am not a hamster, he's going to cling to power as long as he's capable of holding it. Power in Cuba will probably be ripped from his cold, dead hands and not before.
He doesn't intend to step down any more than he intends to apply for US citizenship.
