On With The Campaigns

Posted by Non-Hamster on September 10th, 2008

Now that the conventions are over and the political equivalent of a frat party with suits and ties instead of funny shirts is done with for now, it's time for all campaigning to get going full bore.

lipstick on a pig by MikeLicht, NotionsCapital.comThinking about it, perhaps I should have subtitled this "let the mudslinging begin" because it's already gotten well underway.  Both candidates have wasted no time taking shots at the other.  The most (in)famous that has surfaced recently is the noise about Obama making that "lipstick on a pig" remark.

Whether you believe McCain's stance on that or Obama's, you have to admit that it's a memorable phrase and it's not going to go away anytime soon.  Regardless of Obama's intentions when he said it, he's still going to have to live with the fallout from it for a long time to come.

The picture that you included in your blog is cute.  The phrase which Mr. Obama said, unfortunately wasn’t cute.  Now, he is trying to say that he didn’t say that.
