Whatever happend to discretion?

Posted by Non-Hamster on August 2nd, 2007

I just read another of those headlines that make me wonder if some editor checked their brains at the door to the office.  This one is about a rescue mission being undertaken in Afghantistan.

The people's right to know is one thing, but let's have a little bit of sense applied at the same time.  I am not a hamster or a rocket scientist but I know enough to realize that the bad guys read the news and watch CNN just like we do.  Why announce to them that you're coming?  Much better and more sensible to do the job and THEN tell the world about it.
