The Best Way To Beat A DUI Arrest

Posted by Non-Hamster on November 22nd, 2008

I know that in my last post I talked about wanting to focus more on the lighter, more entertaining and generally fun things and I have every intention to do so but I just HAVE to say something about this.

I don't generally pay a whole lot of attention to Digg these days because frankly, I haven't the time to even browse through most of the "shouts" I get every day.  However once in a while I do look in the folder where they get sorted to in thunderbird.  That's when I saw "How to beat your DUI arrest".

Now I am not a hamster, I know full well that there are times when an arrest is bogus or has good reason to be thrown out but let's face facts people.  If you drink alcohol you become impaired.  If you are caught driving under the influence you are going to be arrested because you're a danger not only to yourself, but to everybody else as well.

Frankly if the only danger that the drinking driver presented was to themselves I would be more than happy to say "let 'em do what they want".  Within twenty years everyone capable of passing on the genes the permit such stupidity would be eliminated from the human gene pool.

Unfortunately, that's not the case.  When you drive under the influence, you're putting the rest of us at risk because of your stupidity and THAT is unacceptable.

So, having said all that, I *DID* title this piece "The Best Way To Beat A DUI Arrest" and I intend to honor the promise implied in that title.

Ready?

Here it comes...

The Best Way To Beat A DUI Arrest is actually the simplest thing in the world.

DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!

There!  Wasn't that easy?

I agree with you fully.  Do NOT drink and drive.  How about those who talk on the cell phone and drive?  They, too are a hazard on the road.  I always figure that someone’s life is more important than a phone call or a drink.  I wish others thought that way, too.
