I have to admit that in recent months I've really put on the pounds. And while I know I'm not alone in this not so little problem (something over half of the US population is overweight to some degree), that doesn't do much for the fact that *I* have it.
However, I am not a hamster, there's just no way anybody's going to get me doing calisthenics or high impact aerobics and such. That kinda thing just isn't my speed. What I plan to do is join the ranks of people using treadmills as a convenient, safe, handy way to get exercise in the privacy of my own home.
Stickman is another one with a weight problem. Oh you couldn't tell by looking at him to be sure, but he'd been a past master at packing away the groceries with gusto, if he couldn't find any gusto he'd use mustard, ketchup and two slices of hearty dark bread.
I'd like to say that he finally wised up but he only sorta halfway did it. He too decided on walking as a good heart friendly form of exercise. Thing is, he did his walking all over the place until finally, several hundred miles from home, he got a clue.
Here is his story.
