That's right, the power in this part of NE Arkansas is slowly coming back on line. Today a little after noon it finally made it to me.
I tell you what, Being a native Yankee from New England, I don't mind (and usually prefer) cooler temps. However I am not a hamster (too bad, the fur would have come in handy last week!), spending a week with the temp INSIDE the house is only 35 degrees!
I guess I should be thankful it came on when it did though because of how widespread the power outage is, it's taking a heck of a long time for some folks to get power, I've heard news reports that some people may not get power restored for as much as another two or three weeks!
One part of it I do wish they'd get past though is the tendency for the power to "blink" off for one or two seconds every once in a while. I realise that it's probably got to do with other parts of the local power grid being turned back on but it makes getting a weeks worth of work backlog done online bloody difficult to do.
Ah well, if I'm right about each time it happens being another part of the local grid coming online then the problem should cure itself in a day or two. In the meantime, I'm making it a point to hit "SAVE" a lot.
