Taxable High?

Posted by Non-Hamster on August 26th, 2007

Here's one for you that's pretty much guaranteed to trip your "that's ridiculous" circuit...

This guy in Tennessee is suing the state govt because he claims they overtaxed his "rice creeper treats" (a Rice Krispies treat that contains marijuana) that were confiscated.

I'm not going to comment about Tennessee's "tax illegal substances" thing, but I am not a hamster, Even though the stuff's illegal in the first place they actually make it possible to avoid this problem..

Anyone with illegal drugs can avoid being fined for tax evasion by anonymously buying stamps from the Tennessee Department of Revenue

...Personally, I'd rather just not bother with the stuff in the first place, but that's me.
