They say time flies when you're having fun and I suppose it must also be true when you're having a heck of a time trying to safely deflate the over sized ego of what has turned into an extremely self important co-host with delusions of stardom.
I mean I am not a hamster, it's not like there hasn't been things to post about, people continue doing strange, stupid, and downright odd things just as frequently as they always have. And then there's that Nimrod in Iran. I don't doubt that I could go on about that numskull for days, even weeks.
Then there's Bob. I take him on as my co-host and then he gets to do a few shows on his own and next thing you know he thinks he's the biggest thing in journalism since Edward R. Murrow or Walter Cronkite. I swear for such a comparatively small critter he's got enough ego for any six dozen Hollywood personalities.
Then there was the trip to Europe. That one very nearly got him made into a little bitty fur coat. I'm STILL dealing with the aftermath of that one. I finally got the satellite radios returned, along with all four iPhones and the luggage he doesn't need (seriously, he's probably never gonna travel again.) The problem is that he managed to buy up more odd crap than you can shake a stick at. For example who in their right mind buys two hundred sticks of ddr 66 memory?!? Especially since I doubt there's a machine made today that could use it. Or the matching sets of laptop covers ... all 32 of them!
Anyway, I *think* things are starting to get back to something resembling normal and Bob is at least acting like he's turning over a new leaf so there's a good shot that new episodes of Points of View can finally get into production. At least I'm hopeful now that it could actually happen. It's really aggravating too because when I first started the show I wanted to do at LEAST one episode a week and sometimes two or even three.
Now we're starting practically back at ground zero. The next episode actually is in the works and I'm hoping that we can get it done in the next day or two. The jury is still out on whether or not Bob will be in it or not. Perhaps as comic relief.
