Y'know, I'm starting to have a problem with all this morbid fasination people are having with Princess Diana. This concert is the the latest in a long list...
Princes William and Harry took to the stage at London's Wembley Stadium on Sunday at
a star-studded pop concert they planned themselves in honor of their mother, Princess
Diana, on what would have been her 46th birthday.
I'm sure she was a great person and obviously she still has quite the following. The thing is that I think this is going beyond any kind of healthy respect or admiration for someone. It's starting to border on worship and that's getting into territory that is best avoided.
I am not a hamster. This whole Diana thing resembles the Elvis thing of the late 70's and 80's entirely too much. About the only difference is that, as far as I know, there haven't been any "Diana Sightings" reported. Then again, I don't read things like the Enquirer or Weekly Word News.
