Have you ever gotten the nagging feeling that something you made had one or two little things wrong with it that could get a bit out of hand later on? Well, that’s how I felt about this lander.
Think maybe I was right?
Maybe you are, but I’m not.

After the previous failure I had to “get back on the horse” as they say and try again to get to the moon. (no, I will NOT call it “mun”!!)
In this episode I follow through on the thought from the last one. Stuff is just too big so I go back to basics and remove all mods except for one.
I kept the mechjeb most NOT because it can fly the ship for me but because it provides a lot of information. Numbers that make flying a successful mission just a bit easier and I prove it by flying to a good orbit without looking at the map view until I’m there.
After countless explosions and mission failures of all kinds I have come to the conclusion that I’m just trying to build too large. Therefore I think I need to go back to the smaller parts and lay off of using the mod parts for now. The idea being to concentrate on building something that works out of that… THEN think about building bigger with mod parts.
I suppose some would say that the title of this post is a basic Kerbal motto. It certainly seems like it as I’m trying to get that lander off the ground and failing with a fair number of explosions.
