October 9th, 2008

The big news is still the economy and the big financial crisis. You know, that mess gifted upon us by all the greedy so-and-so’s on Wall St? The one that we can probably thank most of our politicians for because they bowed to various special interests and didn’t require thorough enough financial reporting?

I just saw something on Ars Technica that I can’t help find both funny and sad at the same time. It’s essentially proof of what I think a lot of people have known for a long time and that is that most people’s brains have apparently begun to lose weight in all the wrong ways.

Here Comes Another Bailout

September 6th, 2008

Just when I’m sure most of America has the illusion that the mortgage crisis was pretty much over (after all, they stopped talking about it all the time on tv didn’t they?), it turns out to be very much alive and kicking because the news now is talking about… you guessed it… another government bailout.

How shall I describe yesterday? I like to keep this blog family friendly so I’m sure that most readers will understand my meaning when I just call it a “Rolling and Screaming Charlie-Foxtrot”. The details of this adventure is something that my wife will no doubt do a much better job of writing about than I can. What I want to focus on here is the cherry on top of that “wonderful” day.
