Maybe you are, but I’m not.

Over the years I’ve heard all kinds of claims, humorous and otherwise about just exactly what is used in fast food or how much actual meat is used in a particular company’s burgers. However this one is a prizewinner.

What If Microsoft Built Cars?

August 31st, 2008

But that, my friends is the blessing, the curse that was avoided is something that online oldtimers will remember from years back. It was in the form of an email that made the rounds several times. It also got posted on countless newsgroups and forums. The content was something that made car buyers shiver and think “God I hope that isn’t gonna happen”.

Imagination or Reality?

August 24th, 2008

I don’t normally pass on forwards but this one is too good not to. It’s one of those things that comes out of the collision of conspiracy theories and a good sense of humor.

How shall I describe yesterday? I like to keep this blog family friendly so I’m sure that most readers will understand my meaning when I just call it a “Rolling and Screaming Charlie-Foxtrot”. The details of this adventure is something that my wife will no doubt do a much better job of writing about than I can. What I want to focus on here is the cherry on top of that “wonderful” day.

Y’know, I’ve heard for years about how it’s supposed to be safer to fly than do drive and maybe that was true twenty or thirty years ago, but stories like this recent one in which Obama’s plane had to make an unscheduled landing in St. Louis because of a “maintenance issue” that came up on [...]

2 Years On The Toilet

March 22nd, 2008

If it weren’t so obvious that somebody’s got a serious problem here this story about a woman that stayed on the pot for two years would be funny.
However I am not a hamster. Some things, no matter how funny they might seem at first, are just plain not funny when you think about them [...]

A Surgeon To Avoid

March 19th, 2008

Over the years I’ve seen and heard a lot of stories about medical mixups of one kind or another and some of them have even been funny. Even if a lot of them do end up sounding like really bad jokes. This one is pretty bad in more ways than one.
There’s a short [...]

Lets NOT Send In The Clones

January 19th, 2008

I think by now most people have heard at least one mention of the recent announcement by the FDA that they’ve decided meat and milk from cloned animals is safe to eat. I also think that entirely too many people are giving this toping the “yeah… and?” treatment and I’m pretty sure that’s a [...]

I can’t say for certain, but I’m thinking that it’s possible that he, or perhaps the new number 1 guy at Microsoft, Steve Ballmer (you know, famous for having screaming obscenity laden fits over Google, Linux, Sun and other competitors… yeah, that guy.]
Why would I think something like that? Hey, I am not a [...]

Here’s a picture my wife stumbled on from Wilders Security Forums

I am not a hamster, nor am I anything that’s going to be eating a frog in my salad. Though I have to wonder if the sales clerk asked “would you like flies with that”?
