I just saw mention on the evening news about the G20 meeting in London. They were talking not about whatever issues being talked about. Instead the ABC evening news was talking about Chef Jamie Oliver and the job he’s been given of “dazzling” the heads of state attending the G20.

The economy is quickly becoming one of the single most important issues for this election. There’s the recent financial nightmares involving Lehman Brothers, Freddi Mac, Fannie May and several other formerly high powered financial companies just about caved in.

Bailout City

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson is talking up the President’s 700 Billion dollar super bailout plan. He’s saying how it was the least costly option like he was choosing Delta faucets over solid gold bathroom fixtures.

I see that the headlines are now screaming that we’re headed for “RECORD DEFICIT IN 2009″. What’s annoying about it is that the news story I read leads the reader to believe that it’s entirely because of the sagging economy and the stimulus payments to 130 million households.
