I’m not actually someone who does any flying but even a hamster can see when something is getting ridiculous and I am not a hamster… I can see ridiculous a mile away.

That’s right. While we sit paying obscene prices for fuel, those who’re selling it have managed once again to set an all time record for profit.

Once again gas prices are on the rise. As usual we’re being handed all of the same excuses when in reality the primary reason for the prices to keep skyrocketing the way they are is pure unadulterated greed and nothing more.
Which is why a news story like this one is really annoying:

Y’know, this nonsense about oil prices being what they are is just exactly that… nonsense.
An entry in one of the news summaries in my email yesterday talked about OPEC getting the price of oil up to nearly one hundred dollars a barrel and frankly, there’s no excuse for it. none.
